We all get up every morning and start a new day. Most of us forget the word NEW and only look at beginning a fresh start at the new year. Perhaps if every day we make a short list of resolutions they might stick. According to statistics here are the top NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS:
1 Lose Weight 2 Getting Organized 3 Spend Less, Save More 4 Enjoy Life to the Fullest 5 Staying Fit and Healthy 6 Learn Something Exciting 7 Quit Smoking 8 Help Others in Their Dreams 9 Fall in Love 10 Spend More Time with Family Unfortunately by the end of that first month, first week or sometimes just two days we have broken our own resolution. So my thought about that is to make your resolutions every day which could look like this:
1 Lose Weight (today I will resist snacking in between sensible meals) 2 Getting Organized (today I will pick up as I go spending 5 minutes at a time) 3 Spend Less, Save More (today I will place that $4.00 Starbucks allowance into my savings account) 4 Enjoy Life to the Fullest (today I will smile at 10 people) 5 Staying Fit and Healthy (today I will get up every 2 hour and just take a little walk) 6 Learn Something Exciting (today I will google a question I want answered) 7 Quit Smoking (today I will have a piece of gum instead of a smoke break) 8 Help Others in Their Dreams (today I will ask if anyone needs some help) 9 Fall in Love (today I will participate in an activity where I can meet new people) 10 Spend More Time with Family (today I will schedule time with my family, maybe a game) If we all do these small daily resolutions maybe they just might stick a little longer. After all it is a new day every day and if you don’t always get your list done you have a new day tomorrow. 🙂 Just think about #3… that $4.00 a day adds up to $1460.00 a year.
Enjoy the New Year One Day at a Time!
